Garfield Community Garden

Welcome to the Garfield Community Garden.

Welcome to the Garfield Community Garden. This community garden is located on Beswick Street in Garfield and is bursting with life and growth.

About
The Garfield Community Garden is a space designed for community members to come and share their love and knowledge of gardening with other like-minded members of the community. The garden is open every Wednesday between 9am-11am and Saturday between 10am – 12pm for people to get their hands dirty in the soil and then enjoy a hot drink and a relaxed chat. Don’t forget your gloves.

Come down and enjoy the wicking beds, fruit trees, native gardens, veggie beds and herbs and flowers. Compositing is also available onsite, so community members are invited to bring along any veggie and fruit scraps rather than putting them in the bin.

The garden also has an interesting range of bush food plants with information guides on their features and use and any particular health/healing properties.

A range of workshops are also regularly hosted every quarter covering topics such as Indigenous Planting, Properties of Bush Plants, Olive Preserving and seasonal growing tips.

If you are interested in the garden, or would like further details, please contact Meg on 0466 496 107.
