Our vision.

The Food from Home vision is a resilient, healthy, and food-secure future for all individuals, families, and households in Melbourne’s South East.

What is Food from Home?

A place to learn.

We create and curate simple resources, events, and opportunities to make growing food at home simple, fun, affordable, and sustainable.

A place to share.

We are utilising the power of social media to facilitate the sharing of food stories and knowledge from within our local communities.

A place to connect.

Our campaign promotes and preserves connection to food cultures, food origins, family and community, food systems, and climate.

Let us help you get started.

Free Seeds Initiative

If you live in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, or Cardinia Shire – we can provide you with some free seeds to help you start growing food at home! Register your interest below and we’ll get in touch to let you know your closest seed pick-up location. All thanks to our generous friends at the Food For Change Foundation!
