Welcome to the Pakenham Library/H.E.A.L Foods Discovery Garden.

Welcome to the Pakenham Library Discovery Garden. This innovative community initiative is located in Pakenham, and is part of the library’s H.E.A.L (Healthy, Easy, Accessible, Local) foods project.

About
Drop in and visit the discovery garden at our Pakenham Library and find out everything you need to know about growing edible plants from home or out in the community. Depending on when you visit, you may get to help with planting, watering, pruning, or if you are super lucky you may just visit when it’s time to harvest! You can find the upcoming session times here.

The discovery garden is available during library opening hours, with small group tours are available by appointment.  Call 5940 6200 to organise a time.

Please note: The garden will not be open if there is heavy rain or extreme heat.

The free seed library is available for people to collect seasonal seeds or donate seeds from their own garden. Seeds will be available from the beginning of February 2022, take up to 3 packets per season, new seeds will be released each season. Seeds will also be available at Hampton Park Library.
