Welcome to the Springvale Community Garden.
This community garden is situated at 1 – 7 Morwell Parade, Springvale and is a thriving garden full of vegetable patches, flowers and herbs. The garden has a wide multicultural membership base with many members from different nationalities able to guide those with English not as their first language.
About
The garden is open 7 days to members only, however garden President Gloria Gapper is happy to show locals around the garden if she is onsite.
Members generally pay for a plot within the garden which they then care for. Preference is given to local residents within the Greater Dandenong Region. While there is currently a waiting list for individual plots, local residents interested in taking part can still put their name down on the list.
A definite highlight for the Springvale Community Garden is an upcoming feature to be televised on Gardening Australia at some point later in the year.
